Standardized Exams

A. Cambridge Primary Checkpoint :

Is designed to help students learn by providing comprehensive feedback on their strengths and weaknesses in the key curriculum areas – English, Mathematics and Science.

The tests are exclusively available to schools that offer Cambridge Primary and Thamer International School is authorized to conduct Cambridge Primary Examinations. These exams are generally taken at the end of the final year of the programme. They are marked by Cambridge and provide T.I.S with an international benchmark for learner performance. Each student receives a statement of achievement and a diagnostic feedback report, giving T.I.S invaluable information and the parents extra trust in the feedback they receive.T.I.S holds one Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Exam series each year, in April/May.

Students start being trained for the Primary checkpoint from Grade 4 and appear for these examinations at the end of Grade 6.

 
B. Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint:

Tests have been designed to assess learners at the end of Cambridge Secondary 1 and Thamer International School is authorized to conduct Cambridge Secondary 1 CheckpointExams. They are available in English,Mathematics and Science, and give valuable feedback on our students’ strengths and weaknesses before they progress to the next stage of education.

The tests are marked in Cambridge and provide Thamer International School with an external international benchmark for learner performance. Each student receives a statement of achievement and a diagnostic feedback report, giving T.I.S detailed information and parents extra trust in the feedback they receive.

T.I.S holds one Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint Exam series each year, in April / May. The tests cover all major areas of learning in the Cambridge Secondary 1 curriculum frameworks for English, Mathematics and Science. 

Students start being trained for the Cambridge Secondary checkpoint from Grade 7 and appear for these examinations at the end of Grade 8.
